From August 20 to 24, the 27th Asia Pet Expo was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. As the flagship exhibition of the global pet industry, this year’s event set up the “GENIUS HUB Future Pet-Keeping Life” smart zone for the first time. Over 120 tech brands showcased new pet appliance products, with smart devices accounting for 32% of total transaction volume—a historical high.
Health Monitoring Becomes Core Competitiveness Multiple pet appliances at the expo focused on “data-driven pet-keeping.” Shanghai Beixinchong Technology launched the V1 Pet Doctor AI Diagnostic Assistant, which can connect to external devices like AI stethoscopes and portable B-ultrasound probes to complete a comprehensive pet examination and generate diagnostic suggestions within 10 minutes. It received orders from over 50 pet hospitals just one month after its launch. Basic categories such as smart feeders and litter boxes also upgraded their health functions comprehensively, recording data like food/water intake and activity levels to form structured health records that provide references for veterinary diagnosis.
Intelligent Upgrade of Living Scenarios Xiaochong Technology (Huzhou) Co., Ltd. exhibited its full range of smart pet cabins, equipped with heating systems, 24-hour fresh air systems, and adjustable eye-protection lights, enabling remote control via a mobile app. For safety, the cabins feature password locks, cameras, and UV sterilization functions, with prices ranging from 2,000 to 7,000 yuan to meet diverse family needs. On-site staff noted that pre-orders for this series have exceeded 30,000 units during the pre-sale period.
Deep Integration of Medical Care and Technology Industry insiders pointed out at a concurrent forum that in 2025, pet smart appliances have evolved from “convenient tools” to “health management terminals.” Products like AI diagnostic equipment and smart monitoring collars are reshaping the pet health management system, with the compound annual growth rate of this niche market projected to exceed 40% over the next three years. Several scenario-based innovations also debuted, including smart pet backpacks for outdoor travel—equipped with ventilation systems and hidden leash buckles to balance portability and safety—echoing the globally rising trend of “traveling with pets.”
