January: CES 2025 Kicks Off, Pet Appliances Emerge as New Force at “Tech Spring Festival Gala”

From January 7th to 10th, Pacific Time, the 58th International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025) was held in Las Vegas, USA. At this event hailed as the “global tech spring festival gala,” pet appliances debuted as a popular category for the first time. Over 30 companies showcased their products in the dedicated pet technology zone, with Chinese brands accounting for more than 60% of them, demonstrating strong competitiveness.

International Giants Make Cross-Industry Breakthroughs  LG Group launched its first pet-specific air purifier, the AeroCatTower, innovatively combining air purification with cat play features. The device features a heated cat seat on top, accessible via steps for senior cats. It automatically reduces fan speed when it detects a cat sitting down to minimize disturbance and runs at full speed when the cat leaves. It has a built-in filter system designed specifically for pet dander, and an arm integrated with a scale on the side. Weight data and activity duration are synced via the LG ThinQ app, delivering a triple value proposition of “entertainment + health + purification.”

Chinese Brands Win International Awards PETKIT brought its ULTRA, the world’s first fully automatic self-cleaning litter box equipped with an AI camera. By integrating a camera to capture cats’ toileting behavior data, it analyzes urinary and gastrointestinal health conditions in real-time and sends alerts to a mobile phone. Thanks to this revolutionary health monitoring design, it stood out among 4,500 exhibiting brands and won the “Top Tech Award at CES 2025” from Digital Trends, becoming the only pet smart brand to receive this honor at the show.

Breakthrough in Wearable Device Technology Shenzhen-based company SATELLAI  released the world’s first pet smart collar that integrates satellite communication. It supports positioning and tracking in areas without signal, paired with an AI pet care algorithm to analyze pet activity trajectories and health data. It is planned to launch in the US market in Q1 2025, filling a gap in the industry for pet safety monitoring in extreme outdoor environments. Additionally, the AI pet Ropet, brought by the Chinese startup team Mengyou Intelligence, also drew attention. It is equipped with a camera and soft-touch material, capable of forming exclusive interaction modes by learning user habits. It supports appearance customization and conversation with ChatGPT. The standard version priced at 299andtheProversionat319 received over a thousand pre-orders on-site.
